NHL suspends Raffi Torres for 41 games

The Sharks forward, who had been suspended for 21 games for a blow to the head of Marian Hossa in the 2012 playoffs, has been suspended 41 games for an illegal check to the head of Jakob Silfverberg. Torres' suspension is the 3rd longest in NHL history and the 9th time he's been suspended or fined for an illegal check to the head.

The Bills have received a roster exemption for DE IK Enemkpali that ends next Monday, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Field Yates. Enemkpali, who is returning from a 4-game suspension, cannot play Sunday against the Titans unless the Bills activate him to their 53-man roster and end his roster exemption.
