It might sound odd, but Andre Roberson is messing up the Warriors' defense. Coach Steve Kerr should consider keeping things simple in Game 5.

The details that have emerged surrounding Baylor sicken me, but I'm encouraged by the women who were brave enough to come forward and force not only Baylor to acknowledge what happened, but every campus in the country. The firing of Art Briles made the statement that these women and the safety of others are more important than winning -- something that should go without saying, but every single coach and athletic administrator needs to hear. Don't let this happen again.

Spoke with a Baylor football player. He said he's heard defensive coordinator Phil Bennett will be the interim coach, but players have not been officially informed yet. They're expected to have a team meeting next week - when Baylor players return to campus - to discuss the plan moving forward.

Ivan Maisel: “Baylor asking Briles to leave is Facebook turning on Mark Zuckerberg. Both CEOs created something where nothing existed.”

I really hope this change is seen through at Baylor. From university release: "A centralized hub of student conduct information will provide a level of "early warning" for those students who are at risk or who may place others at risk. The university will ensure the accountability of employees by making clear the violation of reporting obligations could be cause for discharge. Additionally, processes will be put in place to ensure all instances of interpersonal violence, regardless of where they originate, will be evaluated under the Title IX office."

Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin left Chiefs practice early with an apparent injury, though the situation didn't look serious. Maclin was slow to get off the ground after making a catch during a 7 on 7 passing drill. He walked on his own to the sideline, where he received no medical attention but did consult with trainer Rick Burkholder. Maclin soon left for the locker room unaccompanied by medical personnel.

This excerpt from Pepper Hamilton's Baylor report strikes at the heart of the overarching story: The upstart program grew too big, too fast - and it became win-at-all-costs. Corners were cut, risks were taken. Eventually, it all caught up with the school and coach Art Briles.

Jim Bowden ESPN Senior Writer

Does Matt Harvey have shoulder weakness or fatigue? Why do I ask? Innings 1-3 his ERA is 3.03; innings 4-6 his ERA is 9.89. Pitches 1-25 opponents hit .212 against him and pitches 51-75 they bat .424 against him. In addition, velocity of all pitches decline accordingly. Pitch selection 2nd and 3rd time around the lineup could be a factor but not enough to explain the vast differential. These facts should not be ignored by the Mets in diagnosing his struggles.

Asked for his thoughts on Art Briles' firing, Baylor ESPN 300 receiver commit Hezekiah Jones of Stafford (Texas) High School said "it's crazy." When asked if he'll decommit, he said "we'll see."
