Just past the one-quarter mark in the Sprint Cup race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, pole sitter Kyle Busch is in the lead. He lead the early portion of the race until green flag pit stops. Team Penske drivers Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano stayed out longer than everyone else before pitting. Keselowski led 15 laps. There has only been one caution so far, brought out when Matt DiBenedetto lost an engine.

The Team Penske drivers are using a different fuel strategy, getting off-sequence than the rest of the field at the Brickyard 400. If a Penske driver wins, it would be a testament to the Penske management and its decision-making. Joey Logano's car has several images on it t commemorating the organization's 50-year history.

Cubs shortstop Addison Russell left today's game with a left heel contusion. He fouled a ball off his foot in his first at-bat of Saturday's game. He played through it yesterday but apparently it tightened up on him, so he's taking the rest of the day off.

The Yankees just turned a really slick 4-1-5 double play to end the eighth. Starlin Castro and Mark Teixeira both dove for a Ramiro Pena grounder in the 3-4 hole. Castro came up with it and fired to pitcher Chad Green covering first. Green then fired to third, and Chase Headley scooped the throw before applying a tag on Mac Williamson.
