Cowboys' Dunbar tears ACL, out for season

RB Lance Dunbar will have surgery to repair a torn left ACL suffered while returning the second-half kickoff in Sunday's loss to the Saints. He had 21 catches for 215 yards as well as 5 carries for 67 yards this season, and was a key member of the return teams.

Cardinals C Yadier Molina met with a specialist that told him his ligament injury wasn't healed but the catcher plans to play in the NLDS while wearing a splint on his left thumb.

NHL suspends Raffi Torres for 41 games

The Sharks forward, who had been suspended for 21 games for a blow to the head of Marian Hossa in the 2012 playoffs, has been suspended 41 games for an illegal check to the head of Jakob Silfverberg. Torres' suspension is the 3rd longest in NHL history and the 9th time he's been suspended or fined for an illegal check to the head.

The Bills have received a roster exemption for DE IK Enemkpali that ends next Monday, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Field Yates. Enemkpali, who is returning from a 4-game suspension, cannot play Sunday against the Titans unless the Bills activate him to their 53-man roster and end his roster exemption.
