No. 5 PG going to UConn

Alterique Gilbert (Class of '16) will try to continue the tradition of Kemba Walker, Shabazz Napier and Ryan Boatright. "I love the relationship me and coach [Kevin] Ollie have, and my mom as well." Scouting Report (Insider)

Jeff Goodman @GoodmanESPN

UConn huge pickup in Alterique Gilbert - one of top point guards in 2016 class. He and Jalen Adams will be phenomenal together in Storrs.

Jeff Borzello @jeffborzello

Alterique Gilbert is one of my favorite players in 2015 class. Dynamic point guard, keeps defenders on skates. Outstanding off the bounce.

Miggy out for six weeks

Tigers manager Brad Ausmus says that Miguel Cabrera has a Grade 3 calf strain and is expected to miss six weeks. He's leading the American League with a .350 batting average and .456 on-base percentage.
