Looking Ahead: Oregon Ducks

A talented recruiting class should help the Oregon Ducks compete in the Pac-12, a league that doesn't appear to have a clear favorite.

Anthony Johnson wins round one decisively, 10-9. Daniel Cormier survived and will see round two, which may be a small victory in itself.

Rumble throws lead, DC keeps clinch

Anthony Johnson tagged Daniel Cormier with a big overhand right early in the round, but his over-zealousness to end the fight got the better of him. Cormier shook off the stars quickly and tied up Johnson for the majority of Round 1.

Cerrone: That's a first for me

After breaking John Makdessi's jaw with a kick -- which led Makdessi to call "timeout" on the fight -- Donald Cerrone told ESPN's Cary Chow: "I thought maybe I fouled him or something. It caught me off guard."

Final: Blackhawks 5, Ducks 4 (2OT)

The 91st shot of the night made the difference. After the Ducks controlled the first overtime, Chicago turned the tables in the second extra period, and Antoine Vermette, who was a healthy scratch in Game 3, banged home the winner. The series is tied at 2-2. Box score

UFC 187: Johnson vs. Cormier

What a performance. Three Brazilian legends now under Weidman's belt. Weidman vs. Rockhold (if that is indeed next) is a monster fight.

Weidman implores crowd after win

After once again defending his UFC middleweight title, Chris Weidman said to the crowd in the post-fight interview in the Octagon: "Stop doubting me. Stop doubting me. It's enough. ... Join the team."

Weidman recovers and defends title

Vitor Belfort hit the champion with some early blows but the fight swung in Chris Weidman's favor thanks to a takedown that led to a mount. Herb Dean called a stop to it at 2:53 of the first round after repeated Weidman punches.

Chris Weidman defends title via TKO in the first! Belfort had him in little trouble but Weidman gets takedown and finishes with strikes.
