Titans pick Derrick Henry 45th, the Eddie George-like running back. Nice to pair with DeMarco Murray. But Titans are investing too much in running backs on a team with major needs at receiver and corner.

Mike Mazzeo ESPN Staff Writer

Raptors 22 Pacers 20 end 1. Toronto opened a 12-point lead before Indiana came back despite its starters shooting a combined 4-for-18 from the field. DeMarre Carroll has nine points, Paul George has two.

The Oakland Raiders select Illinois DE Jihad Ward. He is big at 6-feet-5, 295 pounds but had just 1.5 sacks last season.

Mike Triplett ESPN Staff Writer

The first half of Round 2 has been a bit of a buzzkill for the Who Dat Nation so far, with a lot of exciting pass rushers and athletic linebackers already gone. But my 3 best bets all remain on the board as we approach New Orleans' pick at No. 47: Kansas State guard Cody Whitehair, Clemson cornerback Mackensie Alexander and USC safety Su'a Cravens. ... And Michigan State QB Connor Cook looms as a dark horse, which would certainly generate some buzz.

Phil Sheridan ESPN Staff Writer

The second round is pretty dull when your team doesn't have a pick. But here's something. With the pick Chip Kelly threw in to the Sam Bradford trade, Tennessee selected Penn State DT Austin Johnson. A'Shawn Robinson, Derrick Henry still available.

Smith emotional after being drafted

Notre Dame LB Jaylon Smith, who some thought would slide to the middle of the draft because of knee concerns (he suffered a knee injury in his final collegiate game), went to the Cowboys with the third pick in the second round.

Raiders on the clock. Needs include inside linebacker, cornerback and running back. Oakland Hall of Famer Willie Brown will announce the pick.

The complete opposite of Game 5's start. Raptors getting whatever they want. Toronto is 7/11 from field. Pacers look frustrated early. Vogel calls a 20 second time out to stop Raptors' momentum.

Names to consider for Ravens' No. 42 pick: linebacker Deion Jones; cornerbacks Mackensie Alexander and Kendall Fuller; and running back Derrick Henry.

Last five picks of NFL draft

  • 37. Chiefs: DT Chris Jones (Miss. State)
  • 38. Dolphins: CB Xavien Howard (Baylor)
  • 39. Bucs: DE Noah Spence (E. Kentucky)
  • 40. Giants: WR Sterling Shepard (Oklahoma)
  • 41. Bills: LB Reggie Ragland (Alabama)

Bills select Alabama LB Reggie Ragland with the No. 41 pick after trading up with the Bears. The Bills gave up No. 49, one of their 2016 fourth round picks (No. 117) and a 2017 fourth rounder. Ragland was a possible pick at No. 19 for the Bills, so they are getting good value here. Also addressing a glaring need.

Matt Bowen ESPN Staff Writer

Noah Spence didn't produce a great 40 time at the combine, but his game tape and Senior Bowl workouts tell the story. He can get off the ball. Multiple counter moves too. Solid edge rusher for the Bucs.

Mike Mazzeo ESPN Staff Writer

Raptors open up an 18-6 lead with great activity on both ends. Offense is moving the ball instead of isolating. Toronto is 7-for-11 shooting.

DeRozan flies in for putback dunk

Just getting the rebound wasn't enough for DeMar DeRozan. Pacers-Raptors is live on ESPNews and WatchESPN.

Dan Graziano ESPN Staff Writer

With their second-round pick (No. 40 overall), the Giants took Oklahoma WR Sterling Shepard. At 5-10, 194 pounds, he's not a big receiver, but he's speedy and killed his combine workouts. He's obviously a candidate to fill the vacant No. 2 WR spot opposite Odell Beckham Jr.

James Walker ESPN Staff Writer

The Dolphins selected Baylor CB Xavien Howard in the second round, who is a big, physical corner. Howard said he models his game after Darrelle Revis. He said he loves to press. The Dolphins traded their second- and fourth-round pick to the Ravens.

Dan Graziano ESPN Staff Writer

The Giants are on the clock in the second round. Possibilities here include an offensive lineman like Jason Spriggs, WR like Sterling Shepard, a safety like Vonn Bell, among others.

Adam Teicher ESPN Staff Writer

Mississippi State defensive lineman Chris Jones makes sense for the Chiefs from a positional standpoint. Dontari Poe could become a free agent after next season.

Matt Bowen ESPN Staff Writer

If that knee holds up, Gus Bradley and the Jags just landed another defensive stud with Myles Jack. Jalen Ramsey on Day 1 and now Jack? Speed and athleticism. That's how you build a defense in today's game.
