More from Chris Sale's agent, B.B. Abbott: Told me today he sees no reason for the after-effects of Sale's actions to linger, following his return. "I honestly don't think there are fences to mend," Abbott said. "He has been with the organization since he was drafted. The entire organization knows the fiber of Chris Sale. They understand the passion and fierce competitive nature. If they are on board with prioritizing winning, there will not be an issue at all."

Jayson Stark ESPN Senior Writer

Chris Sale's agent, B.B. Abbott, told me Sunday that Sale has "talked at length" with GM Rick Hahn about Saturday's incident, that the club understands Sale's first priority is winning and that as long as both sides agree on that, "there will not be an issue" once Sale returns from his suspension. "The only thing that matters to Chris Sale is winning," Abbott said, in a text. "If he perceives that something is distracting from that or being prioritized over that, he is going to have a problem with it. There is no better teammate or competitor than Chris and there is no player that cares more about the city of Chicago and its fans than him. "As long as everyone can agree with those sentiments," Abbott went on, "and putting winning and the White Sox fans first, there will never be a problem between Chris and anyone on the staff or in the front office. I think Chris has been very clear on that subject and it was well received. He now wants to focus on his team, teammates and the task at hand - helping the White Sox win ballgames."
