Georgia is taking a major risk by moving on from Mark Richt. He led the program to its longest sustained run of success in its history, and did it with nothing but absolute class. The fact remains, however, that Richt hadn't won an SEC title since 2005 and hadn't even won a division title in the mediocre SEC East since 2012. I'd argue he dealt with unavoidable factors like injuries that hampered recent teams, but this season was a mess on the field and off. Yes, this is a huge risk, but Georgia has the potential to win bigger than Richt has since falling just short of an SEC title in 2012.
