Kerr on Curry: "He actually got on the floor yesterday and did some shooting, but it was kind of stand still shooting. There wasn't a lot of movement. There was some, but he's progressing well. Obviously won't play today. We need to get him on the court before he's going to play in a game. He has to be on the floor in a 5-on-5 situation which means it's pretty slim that he would be out there in Game 2. But we'll just monitor him and see how it all goes and hopefully get him back at some point."

Tom Haberstroh ESPN Staff Writer

Steve Clifford, as hoarse as can be, barely squeaking out words postgame: "In the third quarter, things got away from us. Today is tough but I'm gonna choose to say what it is: We had a great year."

Not even sure what to say or do with this. Heat fans catch a lot of, well, heat nationally. But they showed up on time and kept it hostile and loud for Game 7.

That'll do it. The Hornets, who had a 3-2 series lead, are eliminated with a 106-73 Heat win in Game 7. Charlotte, which shot the fourth-most 3s on average in the regular season, had success getting into the paint for three wins. But Miami gets 58 points in the paint and 58 rebounds to close out the series and won the turnover battle, 9-10.

Michael Wallace ESPN Staff Writer

Game 7 Final: Heat 106, Hornets 73. Miami advances to the Eastern Conference semifinals to face the winner of the Indiana-Toronto series. The Heat are huge Pacers fans tonight, considering an Indiana win in Game 7 gives Miami home court advantage in the next round. Goran Dragic scored a game-high 25 points and emerges from a relative series-long slump just in time.
