The most unlikely feat in sports history
Barclays Premier League

"It's one thing to achieve the unimaginable over a single game, a best-of-seven or even a monthlong tournament, but quite another to do it over 38 games and 10 months, playing every other team home and away," Gab Marcotti writes. An absurd dream

The Thunder led 77-68 when Westbrook went to the bench with 3:41 left in the third. The Spurs closed on an 8-0 run to cut it to 77-76 headed to the fourth. With the importance of this game, makes sense to play Durant and Westbrook the entire fourth.

The Spurs put on a nice little run to get back into this game, and they did it with strong defense. At the end of the third quarter, the Thunder lead 77-76. LaMarcus Aldridge leads the Spurs with 28 points, followed by Kawhi Leonard with 12 points.

LeBron shrugs at Hawks’ lack of defense

Atlanta wanted to force LeBron James to take jumpers. The Cavaliers star was fine with that on this play.

The Thunder showed a positive response to a second quarter Spurs run to bounce back and lead 56-53 at half. Westbrook ran the show with 18 and 7 assists, with Durant shaking loose for 13. The Thunder talked about showing resolve. It'll be a long second half, but they've at least shown they can hang with the Spurs.

I don't think Serge Ibaka has been dominated like this since Dirk lit him up in 2011. LaMarcus Aldridge is getting whatever he wants.

Once up 88-87 with 4:28 to go, Atlanta missed six straight shots, turned the ball over three times and surrendered two key offensive rebounds before scoring a meaningless basket in final 18 seconds. Hawks blew a chance to put pressure on Cavs, coming off eight-day layoff.

Thunder led 29-21 after a quarter, a 31-point turnaround from Game 1. But the Spurs open with back-to-back 3s to start the second quarter and suddenly that very good first quarter is nearly wiped out.
