Breakdown: Oregon-Colorado
ABC Sports Online

A trip to the desert is not where Oregon or Colorado wanted to be this January. The Ducks and Buffaloes both fought for, and believed they had rightful claims to a trip to Pasadena to play for the national championship. Instead, they will head to Tempe, Ariz., to play in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, which should be a high-scoring affair between the Pac-10 and Big 12 champions.

Both defenses have struggled at times this season. Oregon's only loss this season was a 49-42 setback against Stanford. The Ducks pass defense is suspect -- a 110th-ranked unit that allows 285.2 yards per game. Colorado has gained headlines in recent weeks based on the play of its offense, which posted 62 points on Nebraska and 39 on Texas, but the Buffs also gave up 36 points to the Huskers and 37 to the Longhorns.

And shootouts are a part of their history. The last time Oregon and Colorado met, they combined for 94 points, a 53-41 Buffalo victory in the Aloha Bowl.

Here's a statistical breakdown of the teams as they enter the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.
