Rich Cellini joined ABC Sports as a college football play-by-play announcer in May 2001. Cellini, the newest member of ABC's College Football family, will also call several games for ESPN2 this fall.

Cellini has been the television voice of the San Francisco Giants' Triple-A affiliate, the Fresno Grizzlies, since 1998. He also broadcasts a variety of basketball and football games in San Francisco and throughout the Central Valley region.

In addition to his on-air work, Cellini is an instructor in the Master's Program in Sports and Fitness Management at the University of San Francisco, teaching in the areas of organizational management and leadership and sports media. He also teaches in the university's Department of Communication Studies.

Cellini received a Doctorate of Philosophy in Sports Administration from the University of New Mexico in 1997. In 1994, he received a Master of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Fresno State, where two years earlier he had received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication.

Originally from Pine Grove, California, the 30-year-old Cellini now resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
