(DENVER) -- The Denver Broncos have three long practices this
week instead of two as they prepare for Monday night's home game
against the Oakland Raiders.
A loss to the Raiders would put Denver four games behind and
probably eliminate them from the division race. Denver is now
5-and-4 on the season. Oakland is 8-and-1.
But Denver has six games remaining and coach Mike Shanahan is
refusing to speculate about the playoff race. He says it's not like
the Broncos only have two games left and there's been teams that
start the season 5-and-oh and don't make the playoffs.
Shanahan says it's a matter of how Denver plays its remaining
games and he doesn't know what'll happen with the wildcard.
Shanahan says the Broncos dug themselves into a hole but still
have a chance to get out.
