Oakland is 1-10 against Broncos since 1994
Associated Press

(DENVER) -- The Oakland Raiders are vowing to jump on the Denver Broncos Monday night, keep them down and get a win.

Oakland has only won one of eleven games against the Broncos since 1994. But the players say they're determined that this game will be different.

The Raiders have otherwise accomplished almost every goal coach Jon Gruden set since taking over the team in 1998. They've become more disciplined and no longer fall apart at the seams during close games and their 8-and-1 start is the best since 1982.

Their six consecutive wins are the most since 1985 and their five A-F-C wins are the best since 1993.

But the fact that they haven't beaten the Broncos in so many years still nags at many of the players and their only loss this season came to Denver.

Gruden says they're eager to come to Mile High and solve the puzzle.
