Notes from the 1981 MNF season:
The Nov. 30 game between the Eagles and Dolphins garnered a 25.3 rating, 40 percent share, which at the time tied for the second-highest rated game in the program's history (it's now tied for fourth).
For the first time in MNF history, the two eventual Super Bowl teams, the 49ers and the Bengals, did not play a Monday Night game during the regular season.
