Notes from the 1984 MNF season:
1984 marked the last season for long-time MNF commentator Don Meredith. It was also the first season without Howard Cosell.
For the third consecutive year, the Dallas Cowboys bookended the MNF season.
The two Super Bowl teams -- Miami and San Francisco -- went a combined 29-3 during the regular season and 5-0 on Monday nights.
The MNF finale between Dallas and Miami earned a 25.1 rating and 40 percent share. It is tied for sixth among the highest-rated Monday Night games.
