Notes from the 1997 MNF season:
The Florida Marlins took the World Series to seven games, so the Dolphins and Bears met on a Monday night in Florida, giving MNF two games that week. On the same night, Green Bay and New England met in a rematch of Super Bowl XXXI.
MNF visited Jacksonville for the first time on Sept. 22. The following week, MNF headed to Carolina for the first Monday Night show for the Panthers.
