Notes from the 1998 MNF season:

  • Former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason replaced Frank Gifford in the MNF booth. Lesley Visser replaced Lynn Swann as the sideline reporter.

  • Tampa Bay went 1-1 in its return to Monday Night Football. The Bucs hadn't played on Monday nights since 1983.
