Each week during the season, John Madden and Al Michaels named their Monday Night Football - Horse Trailer - Player of the Game. It continued on Super Bowl Sunday.

TAMPA BAY'S DEFENSE
The entire Buccaneers starting defense found its way onto the Horse Trailer: Ronde Barber, Derrick Brooks, Chartric Darby, Dexter Jackson, Brian Kelly, John Lynch, Shelton Quarles, Simeon Rice, Warren Sapp, Dwight Smith and Greg Spires. They all played a big part in the Bucs' rout of the Raiders.

MICHAEL VICK
The second-year phenom kept Green Bay's defense on its heels all night. Although his numbers weren't eye-popping (13-25 for 117 yards, 1 TD, 64 rushing yards), the Packers did not have an answer for him defensively.

BLY AND MARTIN
Dre' Bly made the key play of the game, stripping Garrison Hearst and returning it 20 yards for a touchdown. Martin, playing on an injured knee, relieved Scott Covington and threw for 245 yards and 3 TDs, all in the fourth quarter, to lead the Rams to victory.

STEELERS OFFENSIVE LINE
The Steelers won the battle in the trenches, and deserved a ride on the Horse Trailer. Pittsburgh's line of Wayne Gandy, Alan Faneca, Jeff Hartings, Kendall Simmons and Marvel Smith was in control all night against the league's top defense.

STEVE McNAIR
He didn't practice for the third straight week, but McNair gutted the Titans to a big win. He finished the night with just 136 passing yards and rushed for 49, but his two touchdowns in the first half set the tone for the game.

RICKY WILLIAMS
He became just the third player in NFL history to rush for more than 200 yards in back-to-back games. He rushed for 216 yards on 31 carries and two touchdowns. His 63-yard TD run in the third quarter basically ended Chicago's chances of an upset.

TIM BROWN
The 36-year-old former Heisman winner became the third player in history to make 1,000 receptions. He was also Rich Gannon's favorite target on Monday night, catching nine passes for 99 yards.

DETMER AND MITCHELL
Koy Detmer showed no rust in his first start in three years. Before leaving with a dislocated elbow, Detmer threw for 227 yards and two TDs, and also ran for a score. Mitchell's 76-yard punt return for a TD gave the Eagles a 14-0 lead. He also added a 57-yard kickoff return, and totaled 206 return yards.

MARC BULGER
Despite injuring his finger in the first half, he came back and improved to 5-0 as the Rams' starter with a gutsy effort. He finished the night 21-for-35 for 347 yards and two touchdowns, but will return to the sidelines next week in favor of Kurt Warner.

GANNON AND RICE
The "old guys" didn't look it. The 36-year-old Gannon finished the night 34-for-38 for 352 yards and three touchdowns. During one stretch, he completed 21 straight passes. The 40-year-old Rice caught nine passes for 103 yards and two TDs, giving him an NFL-record 201 touchdowns.

GREEN AND WAYNE
The Packers dominated both sides of the ball. On offense, Ahman Green rushed for 72 yards on 19 carries and caught six passes for 71 yards and scored two touchdowns. Nate Wayne led the defense with nine tackles, an interception and a forced fumble.

DUCE STALEY
The Eagles are finding out they have a potent running game. One week after rushing for 152 yards against the Buccaneers, Staley piled up 126 yards on 24 carries as the Eagles rushed for 299 yards.

TOMMY MADDOX
The former XFL MVP won his second straight start as he led the Steelers to touchdowns on their first three possessions. He finished the night 15-for-23 for 188 yards, two touchdowns and just one INT.

GARCIA, OKEAFOR AND OWENS
Jeff Garcia and Terrell Owens hooked up twice on scoring plays to lead the 49ers to victory. Chike Okeafor forced Trent Dilfer into a bad throw that led to a drive-killing interception.
BOBBY ENGRAM
In a losing cause, Bobby Engram returned a punt for a touchdown and caught six passes for 85 yards.

BRETT FAVRE
Improving to 17-4 against Chicago, Favre completed 22-of-33 for 359 yards and three TDs without an interception. In the first half, he surpassed 40,000 passing yards in his career, becoming the third quickest to do that (166 games).

RAY LEWIS
The Ravens' linebacker was a menace all night with 18 tackles. In the first half alone, he made 11 tackles and his interception set up one of Baltimore's four second-quarter touchdowns. He added a crushing block on Keith Burns on Chris McAlister's TD.

BROOKS, RICE AND SAPP
Derrick Brooks, Simeon Rice and Warren Sapp were the leaders in the Bucs' defensive effort that forced four INTs and sacked Kurt Warner five times. Rice's interception set up the Bucs' first TD, while Brooks' 39-yard interception return for a TD clinched the win. Sapp had one sack and countless pressures.

DONOVAN McNABB
The Eagles QB ran the offense flawlessly, spreading the ball to 10 different receivers. He finished the night 26-for-38 for 292 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran five times for 36 yards and a score.

TOM BRADY
The Super Bowl MVP picked up from where he left off. He completed 29-of-43 for 294 yards and three touchdowns. More importantly, he hit eight different receivers and didn't turn the ball over once.
