| | | Jerry Jones is the very visible and criticized owner of the Dallas Cowboys. | Here's a preview of what Al Michaels, Dan Fouts and Dennis Miller will discuss during Monday's NFC East contest between the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys. Below are three topics Al, Dan and Dennis are working on right now for the broadcast:
1. Jerry vs. Daniel:
It seems just a short time ago that the Cowboys' Jerry Jones was the renegade new-breed of owner pushing his own agenda (remember Jerry escorting Nike's Phil Knight and Monica Seles onto the field at Giants' Stadium). Now, Daniel Snyder is the game's most discussed owner, making Jerry seem "Old School."
2. The $100 million dollar babies:
Led by the signings of Deion Sanders, Bruce Smith, Jeff George and super rookies Chris Samuels and LaVar Arrington, owner Daniel Snyder's remaking of the Redskins has created nearly unreachable expectations as well as the leagues highest payroll. Anything less than a dynasty and this team will be labeled underachievers.
3. Troy's Aching
Less than a year ago, we witnessed the final play of Steve Young's brilliant career on a Monday night in Arizona. Though the circumstances are different, there will be lots of discussion on Monday regarding Aikman's propensity for concussions over the last few seasons.
