ABC Sports legend Jim McKay hosts "A Story of Gold: Sarah Hughes," the story of Olympic Gold medalist Sarah Hughes, SATURDAY, MARCH 23 (2:30 p.m. ET) on the ABC television Network.

This half-hour special will trace the remarkable journey of sixteen-year-old Sarah Hughes from the first time she stepped on the ice at the age of three to her Olympic Gold Medal performance in Salt Lake City. Viewers will meet the people who shaped the life of this Great Neck, Long Island, native and see behind-the-scenes footage of Sarah's life off the ice, at home and in school.

The program is not only filled with skating highlights from National, World and Olympic competition featuring Sarah and other figure skating champions, it also reveals Sarah's personal side, including how Sarah dealt with the darkest period in her life -- when her mother was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer. The special also takes a closer look at the remarkable relationship between Sarah and her coach, Robin Wagner, a friend as well as mentor, who guided her to the top of her sport, and provides a time capsule of the most exciting performances and events of Sarah's young career, culminating with the most remarkable Olympic performance in recent memory.
