Wilson Thomas makes a leaping catch.
Eric Crouch accounted for 220 yards of total offense and scored once and Thunder Collins rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns as No. 4 Nebraska knocked off TCU 21-7 in the Principal Financial Group Pigskin Classic. But it was the Huskers defense and special teams that keyed the victory. Nebraska, which finished sixth in the Big 12 in defense last year, held TCU to 56 yards rushing and 130 yards in the air. Punter Kyle Larson nailed five punts inside TCU's 20-yard line.

    		•  Georgia Tech feels its ready to challenge Florida State's control of the ACC, but the Yellow Jackets didn't show much on Sunday in the Kickoff Classic. Kelly Campbell had a field day to earn MVP honors, but the rest of the Tech offense was uncreative and produced little in the red zone. Nonetheless, the 12th-ranked Yellow Jackets gave Syracuse little room to maneuver and headed home with a 13-7 victory.
