Andre Johnson caught 2 TD passes in the rout.
Miami proved last week's close win over Boston College was an aberration when the Hurricanes blew out Syracuse 59-0 in the Orange Bowl. Now, with two games left to go, Miami is again talking about making a trip to the national championship game. But before the 'Canes book their tickets to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl presented by AT&T, they have to face a thorny docket with Washington and Virginia Tech.

  • Washington State's offense put the Cougars in position to win the Pac-10 title, but when it mattered, the Cougars sputtered against Washington. The Cougars couldn't score three times it had first-and-goal, and turned it over four times, as Washington pulled out a 26-14 victory in Seattle. Cody Pickett passed for a career-high 371 yards and freshman receiver Reggie Williams had his best game yet with 11 catches for 203 yards in the victory. The win clinched the Pac-10 title for Oregon.

  • Nate Hybl threw three touchdown passes as Oklahoma downed Texas Tech 30-13 to move one step closer to the Big 12 championship game. Oklahoma needs only a victory at home next Saturday against 3-7 Oklahoma State to win the South division and earn a spot in the conference title game Dec. 1 at Texas Stadium. The OU defense prevented Texas Tech quarterback Kliff Kingsbury from getting on a roll. The QB was intercepted twice and fumbled once.

  • Hayden Epstein's 31-yard field goal with 10 seconds left gave Michigan a wild 20-17 victory over Wisconsin to keep the Wolverines' hopes alive for the Big Ten title. The Badgers, who had their six-year bowl run end, appeared to have the game won when they lined up for a 36-yard field goal with 1:26 left and the game tied at 17. But Mark Neuser was wide right by a foot. With 14 seconds left and Wisconsin playing for overtime, Michigan's punt bounced off of Badger freshman Brett Bell, and Michigan's Brandon Williams recovered the ball on the 13 to set up the game-winning kick.
