| | | Andre Johnson caught 2 TD passes in the rout. | Miami proved last week's close win over Boston College was an aberration when the Hurricanes blew out Syracuse 59-0 in the Orange Bowl. Now, with two games left to go, Miami is again talking about making a trip to the national championship game. But before the 'Canes book their tickets to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl presented by AT&T, they have to face a thorny docket with Washington and Virginia Tech.

Hayden Epstein's 31-yard field goal with 10 seconds left gave Michigan a wild 20-17 victory over Wisconsin to keep the Wolverines' hopes alive for the Big Ten title. The Badgers, who had their six-year bowl run end, appeared to have the game won when they lined up for a 36-yard field goal with 1:26 left and the game tied at 17. But Mark Neuser was wide right by a foot. With 14 seconds left and Wisconsin playing for overtime, Michigan's punt bounced off of Badger freshman Brett Bell, and Michigan's Brandon Williams recovered the ball on the 13 to set up the game-winning kick.
