Saturday, December 8, 2001 2001-2002 Bowl Projections ABC Sports Online
Who could have asked for more than this? Three teams all vying for a date with Miami in the Rose Bowl Presented by AT&T. Florida, Texas and Tennessee all blew their chance. Nebraska seemingly did, but the Huskers are now the favorites to be in Pasadena on Jan. 3. Colorado and Oregon are fighting for it too.
The rest of the bowl matchups will be settled by the SEC.
The six automatic BCS bowl berths were secured by Colorado (Big 12), Illinois (Big Ten), LSU (SEC), Maryland (ACC), Miami (Big East) and Oregon (Pac-10).
Teams with asterisks have accepted an invitation.
