The 2002 Winter Olympic halfpipe gold medalist, Powers is now 32 years old; he competed at the first WX in Big Bear, CA. The former terrain park stud has since earned 5 medals in three disciplines, including silver in Best Method (2011), and he won Slopestyle and SuperPipe in 1998. He's been racing Snowboarder X at WX (on and off) since the beginning; the closest he's come to the podium was 4th in 1999. He's all about three things: work (he's a coach at his alma mater, Stratton Mountain School), family (he has two daughters) and competing. Known for his generosity, he grants aid to athletes through his Level Field Fund, totaling over $137,000 in 53 grants.
