It's been since 2004 when the 'Godfather' last appeared in the X Games, when he competed in four different contests, including the first ever SuperMoto event. One of the most famous names in actions sports, Metz has had more of an impact on freestyle motocross than probably anyone and has been a chief pioneer, innovator and creative force. His last major Freestyle accomplishment was in May 2006, when he set a backflip distance record documented by the Guinness World Records when he turned out a perfect 125-ft backflip over the fountains at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, NV. Competing in Speed & Style in 2010, Metz is still recovering from a broken right hand, right elbow and right femur all suffered from a crash on May 14, 2010.
