Micky was one of the most exciting riders in the 80s in the AMA Motocross/Supercross Championships. He won two championships in the 125cc class but was never able to get on top in the 250cc class. After racing he started a Rock n' Roll/Action Sports staging company and in 2003 started his second biking career in Supermoto. In 2005 he won another AMA Championship. 2008 was not kind to Micky; injuries, bike problems and bad luck plagued him all year. With two top five finishes in the AMA Supermoto Championship, 2009 is already looking better.
