In front of the home country fans at the 2010 Winter X Games Europe, France's Faivre skied one of the best superpipe runs of her life -- highlighted by a switch alley-oop 720 -- and finished 4th. She backed that up by finishing 4th again in 2011 and also won the European Open in 2011. A former ski racer, Virginie raced GS and slalom until 2000. In 2002, an old roommate got her involved with superpipe, and she has been a scene staple ever since. She's made seven WX appearances, finishing 4th twice (WX '05 and WX '07). She was also the 2009 FIS World Champion for halfpipe. A great all-around skier, Faivre also excels in slopestyle, winning the European Open in Laax, SUI, in both 2007 and 2008.
