The first Canadian to win men's Skier X (2009), Big Stan is a former Olympian in alpine racing (Salt Lake 2002, for the Czech Republic) and Ski Cross (Vancouver 2010, Canada). Though not racing on the World Cup circuit in 2011, Hayer has a history of doing well on the WX course and is a threat every time he steps in the gate. Big changes for Hayer in 2010 included marrying his Czech girlfriend Zuzka Sevorava in Prague in Oct. The two are expecting their first child in July 2011.
