Winter X vet Silvia Mittermueller makes a return to WX after a two-year hiatus caused by multiple injuries, including a blown right knee at WX '08, blown left knee in the fall of 2009, then a dislocated elbow in the spring 2011. But she is back and stronger than ever, having landed a switch backside 900 in Dec. '11 at Keystone. She also has a switch backside 720, which she says she'd like to do in competition. Says she's incredibly stoked to be returning to WX. "Being invited to the Winter X Games is as big as it gets in competitive snowboarding," she says. "They only take 10 girls. I really appreciate being one of them."
