Aspen local Olenick is a high risk, high reward skier. In 2007, Olenick wowed the crowd in SuperPipe with his now famous Whiskey flip (a double flatspin; he was the first to throw a double in the pipe), earning bronze. He added that to his Slopestyle silver and SuperPipe bronze from his first WX in 2004. At Winter X 2010, Olenick won gold in SuperPipe High Air by boosting 24' 11" above the deck. Skiing is a family affair for Peter, who grew up skiing at Buttermilk Mountain with his brother Michael and sister Megan, who is also competing in WX 2011.
