After dominating XG and the AMA Supermoto Championship in 2007, Mark started off strong in '08. He won the MXWC and the opening round of the AMA series. Then his year unraveled, starting at XG when he crashed in the first corner and took out half the field. Mark's bad luck continued when crashes, inconsistency and bike problems plagued the rest of his AMA season and cost him the defense of his AMA title. When his Graves Motorsports Yamaha team backed out of Supermoto for 2009, Mark contemplated looking for a day job. Instead, he threw together his own team three weeks before round one.
