Four-time French National Champion Pierre Vaultier made his first Final and finished 6th in 2011. He was the #1 ranked rider on the FIS World Cup circuit in 2010 (2nd in 2011), and has won 11 World Cup events since his first victory in 2007. He is dating former WX SBX athlete Kadri Pihla, from Estonia. After breaking vertebra in his spine while training in Dec. 2008, he had an operation and missed the majority of the season, including 2009 Winter X.
