2012 World Snowboarding Champion Iouri Podladtchikov landed the first switch backside double cork 1260 (often referred to as a switch double McTwist 1260) in a halfpipe in October 2011, but only after missing an airbag and breaking his collarbone in the process. The Russian-born rider -- who owns silver from WX 2010 & 2012 and WXE 2011 and won gold at WXE 2010 -- has competed in the Winter Olympics for two countries, Russia and Switzerland, finishing 4th for SUI in 2010. The 23-year-old has all four double cork 1080 variations and could be a threat to Shaun White's throne.
