A former Yamaha factory rider and World Supercross Champion, Heath Voss continues his quest to be the ultimate privateer. In 2008 he bought his own bikes and parts and still posted top 10 finishes in AMA Supercross with a season high 6th at Daytona. In 2009 he did it all over again, narrowly losing the Pro Privateer Challenge to fellow XG competitor, Matt Boni. Heath and his wife Sarah welcomed their first child, Ryker, on April 13, 2008 (the same day he raced in MTX Racing at MXWC).
Chad Reed won his fourth World Supercross Series race at the Silverdome on Saturday night in front of 51,142 fans.
