Named Transworld Skateboarding's "Legend" in 2003, Duane Peters was the inventor of numerous vert and pool tricks in the '80s, like the acid drop, invert revert, sweeper and fastplant. Duane is one of the first skateboarders to push the punk rock movement and currently plays with three punk rock bands: U.S. Bombs, Die Hunns and Duane Peter's Gunfight. In 2005, Black Label released a video about Duane called "Who Cares: The Duane Peters Story." The second Duane Peters Gunfight album called Checkmate was released in March 2009. Duane's 20-year-old son, Chess was killed in a car accident on July 6, 2007.
