Earning silver at her first WX in 2008 is one of many accolades for Norway's Berntsen, who has excelled in several skiing disciplines. The 1997 World Telemark Champion was also a slalom bronze medalist at the 2001 World Championships. A former Olympian in alpine racing (Salt Lake 2002), Berntsen earned silver in Ski Cross at the 2010 Winter Olympics. A former All-American at Middlebury College, Hedda graduated with honors in 2003 and just finished her master's degree for teaching in December 2011.
Marte Gjefsen won gold in the Women's Skier X competition at Winter X Games 2012.
