This Canadian youngster (22) has skiing in her blood. Her father was the late Dave Murray, the "Crazy Canuck" downhill racer who founded the Dave Murray ski camps in Whistler, BC. Julia's mother, Stephanie Sloan, is a three-time world champion freestyle skier. Julia was born and raised in Whistler and began alpine racing at 8. She switched to skiercross only a month before WX '08 and quickly climbed the ranks. She competed in her first Olympics in 2010 (12th). After missing Winter X 2010 because of a left knee injury, look for Murray to be a contender for the podium in 2011.
