Well-spoken, well-respected KJ was the surprise 2008 gold medalist in XG Speed & Style; even he didn't expect his tricks to be gold worthy, but his competition faltered with crashes. S&S was not held at XG in 2009, but the event and Johnson return this year. Johnson is a good Arenacross racer who performs in halftime freestyle demos, and he'll also contest Super X. He rides for Team Faith and even performs sermons at the track. He is recovering from major injuries -- including a broken neck -- suffered in a February crash, but says, "What better way to recover from a broken neck than do a backflip?"
Sacramento city officials and the Maloof family ended two days of discussion over financing for a new stadium with no progress, and Sacramento mayor Kevin Johnson said a potential deal between the two parties was dead.
