Ricky is the inspiration for many of the racers in Super X Adaptive. He was a top amateur talent on the verge of turning pro when he suffered a life-changing crash in 2005 that left him paralyzed from the chest down. But Ricky is a racer at heart, and he built a bike that would allow him to keep riding. Once video of Ricky hit the internet, other paraplegic ex-racers realized they could racer again, too. Ricky has done many more amazing things, including completing a 125-mile stint in the challenging Baja 500 and completing the grueling Ironman Triathlon in Kona, HI. That's a lifetime worth of accomplishment for many, but 21-year-old James is just getting started. He's a top contender in off-road truck racing and also attends college classes learning 3D drawing programs so he can develop more parts for his bikes, trucks and chair. As for XG, Ricky is still very much at home on a motocross bike, and he was the fastest of the paraplegic riders in 2009 en route to fifth place.
