19-year-old Kevin Kowalski was inspired to skate by the X Games, and he earned bronze at X Games in 2010, his second appearance. Kevin spent his prize purse on his own backyard bowl. He also skates some of the best parks in the country right in his home state of Oregon. Still competing as an amateur, Kevin is always a podium contender, winning the Florida Bowlriders event in March 2011 and beating Pedro Barros in the process. In May, he fractured his left wrist but didn't need a cast.
