Golden made history earlier 2011 by becoming the first female rider to qualify for a pro AMA Arenacross main event (Arenacross is a scaled-down version of Supercross). She even broke the top 10 at her last race of the season. This is another step in her development; Golden claimed the 2008 AMA Women's Amateur National Championship and is expected to someday challenge the Ashley Fiolek/Jessica Patterson juggernaut that dominates women's motocross. Injuries have slowed her at times, but she expects her Arenacross experience to help on the tight Staples Center track, which will closely resemble an Arenacross circuit.
