Sara was the 2009 AMA/WMX Rookie of the Year and 2010 XG bronze medalist. Economics have made her outlook a little less bright and she asked her parents to let her pay her own way through the 2011 season. Now 19, Price is financially unable to compete full-time in the WMX Championship. With an exhausted savings account, a fully reconstructed shoulder and the same bike she rode last year, Price will race a limited schedule, including X Games. Outside of racing, Price has ventured into the world of beauty pageants. She recently finished runner-up at a Miss Teen competition in San Bernardino and now has an opportunity to run for Miss California in Jan. 2013.
