Lifetime athlete Sean Rose became the first Brit to compete in Mono Skier X in 2011, and he went home with a bronze medal. He's trained in Kimberley, B.C., for many years and competed for Britain on World Cup adaptive series until the end of the 2011 season. He quit the team to spend more time with his family, but still plans to cherry-pick his favorite races, including Winter X. Next on the adventure list: a kite-ski trip across Iceland's largest glacier.
