Nearly a life-long rider of dirtbikes and snowmobiles, Travis suffered a serious lower left leg injury in '98 riding his dirtbike. After 14 surgeries in 6 years, his left leg was amputated 9 inches below his knee. Prior to his amputation, he raced snocross in Alaska in '03 and '04. Travis is good friends with WX '09 SMB Next Trick gold medalist Dane Ferguson. He works for Dane's dad installing cabinets.
