John Knudsen initally said no to the Winter X offer due to a lack of funds for training. He changed his mind when he found he could get extra practice time in Aspen. Knudsen's training as much as he can in California, but he's coming less prepared than others in Mono Skier X. He feels he has the skills for the course, but he'll discover if he has the chops -- especially in his rookie attempt.
