This is Erik's first Winter X, but he has a long history on snow and with racing. At age 47, he's the second-oldest 2010 WX athlete, after fellow Mono Skier X competitor Chris Devlin-Young, 48. While he may have years of alpine competition under his belt, the WX course will be a new experience. And if he doesn't do well, chances are that he'll invent something to improve his chances in 2011.
