Young 19-year old JJ made the Snowboarder X Final in 2010 at his first WX, finishing 5th. He's now on the U.S. Snowboarding B team for the first time and skipping the smaller USASA events in 2011 to focus on the bigger World Cups. He graduated from high school and then trained at the Center of Excellence in his hometown of Park City over the summer and fall. JJ took his speed in snowboardcross to the racetrack in 2010, racing in the Volkswagen/Jetta TDI series.
