Andrey Boldykov is a Winter X rookie who has been at the top of the Russian Snowboard Cross Federation since 2004 and was National champion in 2007. The Siberian rider didn't start snowboarding until he was 15, but he finished 15th at the 2010 Winter Olympics. Andrey won his first World Cup on Jan. 19, 2012 in Switzerland. His older sister, Svetlana Boldykova, is a two-time Olympian with 2 World Cup parallel giant slalom victories on her resume.
